Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps taken by Man with Van Limehouse to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and our supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships, and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business or among those who work with us.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Limehouse provides transport, removals, and related logistics services. Our operations rely on a combination of our own staff, subcontracted drivers, vehicle hire companies, fuel providers, equipment suppliers, and other third-party service providers. We recognise that elements of the transport and logistics sector can be vulnerable to labour exploitation, particularly where subcontracting and temporary labour are involved.

We are committed to working only with reputable suppliers and partners who share our stance on preventing modern slavery and who demonstrate compliance with applicable labour, employment, and human rights legislation.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

Man with Van Limehouse maintains a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. This applies to our own business and to all organisations with which we have a business relationship.

Any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery connected to our activities will be treated as a serious breach of our standards. We reserve the right to terminate relationships with any supplier, subcontractor, or partner found to be involved in, or failing to take adequate steps to prevent, modern slavery or human trafficking.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect our suppliers and subcontractors to uphold high standards of conduct, including compliance with labour legislation, fair pay, safe working conditions, and respect for human rights. As part of our procurement and onboarding processes, we assess suppliers for ethical practices and require them to confirm that they do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.

Where appropriate and proportionate to the level of risk, we carry out checks or audits of key suppliers. These may include reviewing policies, requesting evidence of right-to-work checks, and examining working conditions related to services provided to Man with Van Limehouse. If any concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to agree a corrective action plan or, where necessary, end the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

We encourage anyone who works for or with Man with Van Limehouse, including employees, contractors, agency staff, and suppliers, to report any concerns relating to modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports can be made to line managers, senior management, or through existing internal escalation routes.

All concerns raised will be taken seriously and handled sensitively. We will investigate any allegation of modern slavery promptly and, where appropriate, involve relevant authorities. We are committed to ensuring that no one suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting a genuine concern in good faith.

Training and Awareness

We aim to build awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff, especially those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management. Training and guidance may include information on recognising indicators of exploitation, understanding our zero-tolerance policy, and knowing how to escalate concerns.

We expect managers and supervisors to lead by example in promoting ethical conduct and in ensuring that our standards are understood and applied throughout the business.

Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with the senior management of Man with Van Limehouse. We monitor our operations and supply chains for emerging risks and adjust our processes where necessary to strengthen our controls.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect changes in our business, legal requirements, and best practice. We will use the review process to evaluate the effectiveness of our actions, learn from any incidents or near misses, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in preventing modern slavery.

This statement is approved by the management of Man with Van Limehouse and represents our ongoing commitment to combatting modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms.
